I just checked after reading your post and I got an answer today. I was accepted and have until April 6th to accept or decline. The pdf file reads as follows:

Quote:

I received a convocation to the French test last week and sent in my high school diploma and report cards to ask for an exemption last Friday. I finished all of high school in French in Quebec, which makes me eligible for exemption from the test.

That's all I have so far. Let me know if you have any questions. My stats are:

B.Comm @ Concordia University (cGPA: 3.48 on 4.33)
CEGEP @ Dawson College (Pure & Applied Science, R-Score around 30.2)

Cheers,

Thanks for the answer.

I'm actually a transfer student after having completed the law certificate in UdeM. Basically, I'm applying to get in 2nd year.

Still waiting...

I just got accepted yesterday, but I don't anyone else that did (even my friends who had much higher grades than me), so I'm guessing they're not accepting people in order of their grades.

Hey Funny lawyer, In the last 3 or 4 years, students applying from the certificat (for a first or second year position) had to wait a bit more than others. At the time, I was told by the woman in charge of admissions to the bacc (Marie Nadeau) that these files were reviewed last. I got my answer at the end of april like most other students who got accepted from the certificat.

I know i'm not helping much, but be patient, it just takes more time for certificat candidates (I hope you get your answer soon)

The name of the person responsible for admissions was Marie Nadeau (at least at the time)

Thank you daveid. Your answer is a comforting one because all the people I know that applied and got answers are grad students from another program that are applying for 1st year in law, they have been accepted with a lower average than me. They got their answers long time ago.

But right after I read your post I went to see my UdeM profil and I don't have the answer yet but an answer:

"Une mise à jour est en cours sur les données de certains programmes. Les informations vous concernant seront disponibles le 19 avril 2010."

I hope that means an answer on Monday... I'll see.

Thanks again :D

That is indeed is the answer. i remember going on the website at 11h59 pm to get it the day before...

Do you have an option somewhere in this page that would allow you to pay for a 200$ deposit ?

well you have your answer my friend. it means you are accepted.

people who were not accepted did not have this option. the system has been like that for years...

Congrats!

Good idea... you still have time to think about when you want to do it, especially depending on if you have a stage lined up or not.

Good luck!

Also, i read that some of you could check online...to pay this 200$ deposit...
I have been accepted in other programs, but I haven't accepted any offer yet...
how can I look for this 200$ deposit thing...

this is so stressful :(

also, what was the lowest r-score that they've accepted....(according to what u've heard from others)

Just a quick question...kind of off topic though...

I applied and was accepted to civil law at U of O for next year (my back up plan if the common law apps don't pan out this year), but I carelessly missed the deadline for UdeM. If I still wanted to attend UdeM after my first year at U of O, generally speaking, how easy would it be to transfer?

Thanks!

That should be good news. I got the same message before I got accepted. I don't know if your message includes a date, but mine did, and I got accepted on the indicated date. (happened with the two programs I had applied to) Best of Luck!!

@ Seldes: the last R-Score accepted last year for law at UdeM was a 30.00. I believe its been consistent this way for the past 3 years.

Seldes, you should have your login information in one of the emails UdeM sent you. You can check your online status and pay your fees in "Mon Portail" on the UdeM web site. At worst, call the admissions office and ask them to help you out.

Not sure how easy it would be, but I'm sure it would definitely be doable.

Cheers,

Today I was able to pay a $200 deposit and I read that was good news :) However, I still have to wait until may 19th to get an official answer...

(Une mise à jour est en cours sur les données de certains programmes. Les informations vous concernant seront disponibles le 19 mai 2010.)

Any recent news for anyone? I'm kind of surprised not to have heard anything yet.

(University of Michigan BA, recently obtained Canadian Permanent Residence).

Anyone? This thread has been awfully quiet lately.
